Landmark Hotels portfolio history

Landmark has its roots in the pioneering of the all-suite concept, first in the urban upper upscale segment, later taking the concept to the luxury resort segment and to an international setting. Chuck Sweeney saw the demand for more spacious accommodations for the corporate and leisure markets early in the hotel cycle. 

Located in the center of the Mexican capital, this hotel opened to rave reviews for its suite product and service on Trip Advisor and continued to hold one of three top positions on the review site during Landmark management. 

This 400 plus suite hotel, located on Maui, was the first Embassy Suites franchise to open in the Hawaiian Islands. This hotel was very popular with families. 

This hotel was built with a manmade lagoon in the popular destination of Poipu on Kauai. 

Developed and built by Landmark Chairman, Chuck Sweeney, this all suite luxury hotel continues to be one of Hawaii's favorite resorts because of its spacious suite and villa design. It was sold to Fairmont Hotels in 2010. 

This Sedona hideaway drew a large number of weekend business from the Phoenix and Los Angeles markets but needed weekday small groups and weddings business. Landmark was able to increase market share for all 7 nights during its management. 

Managed by Landmark from 2007 to 2014, this iconic resort on the island of Oahu achieved RevPar indices of over 115 with a high international and US luxury repeat clientele. During Landmark management, this legendary resort underwent a full rooms and function space renovation. 

Marketing this unique resort tested the Landmark team as a property coming out of bankruptcy. By the time it closed in 2016 to be part of a private development, the hotel was achieving high occupancies with dynamic packaging to wholesalers and online retailers as well as to direct consumers.
